The Zenith Defy 21 Ultrablue 97.9001.9004/81.R946 is a modern high-frequency chronograph that combines cutting-edge technology with a unique design. This model is equipped with the automatic El Primero 9004 movement, which can measure up to 1/100th of a second. The movement has two separate regulating organs: one for the timepiece (36,000 vibrations per hour, i.e., 5 Hz) and another for the chronograph (360,000 vibrations per hour, i.e., 50 Hz), ensuring exceptional accuracy and reliability.
The 44 mm diameter case is made of micro-blasted titanium, giving the watch a modern and durable look. The dial is open with grey subdials and rhodium-plated and Super-LumiNova-coated indexes and hands, ensuring excellent readability in all light conditions. The back of the watch reveals a blue-coated star-shaped rotor and bridges, highlighting the aesthetics of this model.
The watch is fitted with a black rubber strap with a Cordura-style blue insert, and the clasp is made of micro-blasted titanium. It is water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters, making it suitable for recreational diving.
