The Tissot PR516 Automatic Chronograph in its 41 mm format draws inspiration from the racing watches of the 1960s, bringing this heritage into a modern, robust and technically refined timepiece. Its 316L stainless-steel case, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, transparent caseback and 100 m (10 bar) water resistance provide durability suitable for daily wear as well as more active situations. The design remains faithful to the motorsport roots that define the PR516 collection.
The white dial with blue accents features three chronograph sub-dials, luminous Super-LumiNova hands and clear indexes for excellent legibility. The tachymeter and pulsometer scales on the bezel reinforce the technical, sporty personality of the watch, offering both functionality and strong visual character. The overall look is dynamic, modern and firmly anchored in the racing DNA of the original PR516.
At its heart ticks the powerful ETA A05.231 automatic movement, a direct modern successor to the legendary Valjoux 7753, from which it is structurally derived. It offers an extended 68-hour power reserve, 4 Hz frequency and a Nivachron anti-magnetic balance spring for improved precision and resistance to magnetic fields. This updated Valjoux delivers the characteristic mechanical feel and reliability of a true racing chronograph.
