The origins of Baume & Mercier begin in 1830 in Les Bois, Switzerland, when the Baume brothers founded a company specializing in watches. In 1920, the grandson of one of the founders, William Baume, moved the family company to Geneva. There, the refined watches soon gained the attention of clients and nothing stood in the way of a definitive breakthrough. The fame of Baume & Mercier watches has thus spread beyond the borders. First to England and later to five continents. Behind the enormous success is the pursuit of perfection and uniqueness in every piece of watchmaking. Currently, around 200 000 watches of this brand are produced per year.
