The largest exhibition of luxury timepieces in Central and Eastern Europe welcomed lovers of watchmaking art on 21 and 22 October in the majestic surroundings of Prague's Žofín Palace.

The highlight of the European watchmaking calendar

SEW Prague is consolidating its position as a key event on the European watchmaking calendar. Strategically located between the prestigious Geneva Watch Days, which took place at the turn of August and September in Switzerland, and the Frankfurt trade fair, SEW Prague creates the perfect opportunity for all watchmaking enthusiasts .

the Prague Watch Show is one of the most important events at the end of summer, among which the Prague Watch Show occupies an unmistakable place - whether by the number of exhibitors, the approximately 1,000 models presented, the growing interest of visitors or the rich supporting programme with lectures by leading experts.

'We are very pleased that we can already entice you with a number of interesting exhibitors from Switzerland, Japan, Germany, France and other countries,' reveals Jan Pokorný, the exhibition director. 'In particular, we can reveal that you will see new products from popular brands such as Zenith, Bell & Ross, Raymond Weil, Chopard, Perrelet, Sinn and the ever-growing Norqain.'

Exceptional collection of the best watch brands

The Prague Watch Fair brings a unique opportunity to admire the masterpieces of world watchmaking in one place. Among the best watch brands to be presented are legendary names such as Zenith, Bell & Ross, Raymond Weil and Chopard, whose new collections will be presented in a world premiere.

"This year, however, we have also managed to make arrangements with small studios, and so independent watchmaker Philippe Narbel, German studio Dornblüth & Sohn, Reservoir, and German maker of large clocks and planetariums Hermle will also be present," adds Jan Pokorný.

Especially interesting will be the presentations of premium collections of men's luxury watches that combine sophisticated design with technical excellence. Visitors will have a unique opportunity to get a closer look at limited editions and masterpieces that define current trends in the field of elegant watches.

Czech watchmaking at world level

The SEW Prague Watch Fair is not just about foreign brands. Czech manufacturers will also have a significant presence, proving that Czech watchmaking has an irreplaceable place in the world.

Traditionally, Prim Manufacture 1949, Robot, Chronotechna or the Prokop & Brož atelier, whose custom production has long since crossed the borders of our country, will be presented. Czech watchmakers will present models that combine traditional craftsmanship with innovative technologies, thus confirming that they are among the elite of European watchmaking.

Watch of the year competition

An important part of the watch exhibition is the prestigious 'Watch of the year' competition, where visitors get a unique opportunity to decide which watches deserve this prized title.

'Visitors to the exhibition will once again be the only ones to get the chance to decide which watch they think deserves the title of watch of the year. They will be able to exercise their vote in the main voting competition, which will take place directly at the exhibition,' explains Igor Sirota, responsible for the accompanying programme, lectures and the Watch of the year competition.

'Whether you judge the technology, design, or other attributes that make up the complex of what we call - a beautiful watch,' adds Sirota.

This democratic competition gives every visitor the opportunity to appreciate watchmaking according to their own criteria and is one of the most popular elements of the entire fair.

The fascinating world of watchmaking in the expert lectures

The accompanying programme of the watch fair offers an exceptionally rich selection of lectures that reveal the secrets of the best watch brands. Representatives of renowned watch manufactures and independent experts will present the latest trends, technical innovations and the investment potential of luxury timepieces.

'We have prepared about ten lectures where visitors will learn whether and in which watches can be invested and with what return. Did you know that some models and brands have a return higher than stocks or than buying a Ferrari 488?' entices Igor Sirota.

The lectures will cover a wide range of topics - from technical aspects of movements to innovative materials to investment strategies in the field of men's luxury watches. Experts will provide practical advice to collectors and ordinary consumers alike, helping them to navigate the complicated world of watchmaking.

Men's luxury watches - an investment and a passion

One of the main themes of the SEW Prague watch fair will be men's luxury watches as an object of investment. Experts agree that properly selected models from prestigious brands can represent an extremely profitable investment opportunity.

Visitors will learn which elegant watches have the potential to increase in value over the long term and how to identify future collector's pieces. Presentations will focus on investment strategies, historical performance of individual brands, and predicting future trends in the luxury watch market.
