The roots of tradition: the birth of TOPALLI in Rovinj

The goldsmith's craft has always been one of the most respected and has been handed down through generations, usually from father to son. Tunë Topalli, from an ancient family of master jewellers, specialising in filigree - one of the oldest and most demanding goldsmithing techniques - made a major life decision in 1976. He establishes his first jewellery shop in the romantic town of Rovinj in Croatian Istria. Here, under the TOPALLI brand, he creates artistic jewellery and decorative objects by hand from fine gold and silver wire with immense care and patience, laying the solid foundations of the family jewellery tradition.

It is also gradually expanding its focus to the diamond and gemstone trade. This period also sees a significant change in the company's management. Tunë Topalli retires to a well-deserved retirement and the family business is taken over by the eldest son, Zef Topalli, who is at the birth of its modern era.
