Chopard

The Chopard brand is one of the most important names in the world of luxury jewellery and watchmaking. It was founded in 1860 in Sonvilier, Switzerland, by watchmaker Louis-Ulysses Chopard, whose precision mechanical watches quickly gained recognition throughout Europe. Today, the company is based in Geneva and is still family-owned - the management was taken over by the Scheufele family, who bought the brand in 1963 and propelled it into the world of high-end luxury. Chopard is renowned for its craftsmanship, combining traditional Swiss precision and design sense. Some of its most famous collections include the Happy Diamonds, which feature iconic moving diamonds, the Happy Sport women's watches, and the sophisticated men's models from the L.U.C. line. Sustainability and ethics also play a big part in the brand's DNA - Chopard prides itself on the transparent sourcing of the materials it uses and in 2018 became one of the first manufacturers to use 100% ethically sourced gold. The brand is also closely linked to the cultural and film world - it is a long-standing partner of the Cannes International Film Festival, for which it produces the legendary Palme d'Or. Chopard is thus synonymous not only with luxury and elegance, but also with responsibility, innovation and lasting value.
