The 9th edition of the SEW watch exhibition was held on 20 and 21 October in the beautiful premises of Prague's Žofín Palace and brought a unique insight into the world of the most exclusive collector's pieces.
The SEW Watch Fair has become a traditional destination for the most discerning collectors and lovers of watchmaking art. This year's edition was particularly exceptional - an impressive 32 leading watch companies came to the centre of Prague to present the best of the world of luxury watches.
Franck Muller and Bell & Ross watch brands take a breath away
The luxury watchmaker BENY was one of the absolute highlights of this year's event. The following prestigious models in particular came to the fore:
- Franck Muller Vanguard: The barrel-shaped watches enchanted every visitor. The model with its carbon case, skeletonised movement and tourbillon represents the absolute pinnacle of watchmaking. Technical perfection is combined with a unique design that dazzles at first sight.
- The Bell & Ross BR-X5: Limited Edition was undoubtedly one of the most sought-after exhibits of the entire fair. The distinctive design and exclusive execution showcased the best of the legendary Swiss brand's creations.

Atmosphere full of exceptional personalities
The fair welcomed over 3,000 visitors, among whom were the greatest experts in the field. The prestigious event attracted a number of prominent personalities, including names such as:
- Jan Pokorný, exhibition director
- Igor Sirota and Aleš Pohanka, watch experts
- Libor Hovorka, designer and expert
- Jaromír Ondráček, an educator shaping a new generation of watchmakers
Among the celebrities, there were also Štěpán Venc, the junior world vice-champion in water slalom, or Tatiana Kuchařová, who had the honour of opening the exhibition.
The charity dimension of the exhibition was not missing
But SEW is not just about luxury watches. Every year the fair proves that it has a truly human face. This year, it collaborated with the Children at Risk Fund and the KlokArt programme, which focuses on supporting art and culture. The project expanded its activities with a fifth edition of T-shirts and sweatshirts designed by illustrator Richard Svitalsky, actively supporting young artistic talent.

Collector's watch exhibitions offer an exceptional opportunity
Exhibitions like SEW are not just a showcase for master watches. They are places where the art of watchmaking meets technological excellence, where each model tells its own story. For collectors, it is a unique opportunity to see themost exclusive pieces from the workshops of the world's leading manufacturers.
This year's edition of SEW clearly showed that the world of luxury watches is alive. The younger generation of collectors is increasingly interested in the history, technology and artistry of premium watches. Traditional Swiss brands such as Franck Muller and Bell & Ross show that handmade craftsmanship and precision mechanical systems remain at the heart of watchmaking even in the era of digital technology.
BENY and other leading Czech watch companies show that our market is not just a passive consumer of global brands. Expert Czech watchmakers regularly bring unique insights, expertise and enthusiasm that are appreciated by even the most discerning collectors.
